**NB:** A **backflow incense cone is required to create the waterfall effect**. These cones contain a small hollow channel through the base that allows smoke to travel downwards into the burner.

Ordinary dhoop or solid incense cones produce smoke that naturally rises and will not create the intended cascading effect.

The waterfall effect may take several minutes to develop. Depending on the cone, burner temperature and surrounding airflow, it can occasionally take up to around 10 minutes for the smoke to begin flowing fully.
