# Q'ero Four Quarter Tawantin Suyu Alpaca Inner Cloth (QDP-FQ2) – Inca Worlds

## Four Quarter Tawantinsuyu Unkuña Wachala • Mesa Inner Cloth • Four Inca Realms

This Four Quarter Tawantinsuyu Alpaca Inner Cloth (QDP-FQ2) — also known as a Tawantinsuyu Unkuña or Wachala — is a sacred Andean inner textile representing the four quarters of the Inca world.

“Tawantinsuyu” translates to “The Four Regions Together” — the name of the Inca Empire, symbolising unity, balance and harmony across the four directions and realms of existence.

Traditionally crafted by the Q'ero medicine people — descendants of the Inca and keepers of ancient Andean wisdom — this handwoven alpaca cloth is used within mesa medicine bundles for ceremony, soul retrieval and energetic restoration.

Placed inside a larger outer mesa cloth (Mestana), the inner cloth represents the inner world of the practitioner — personal intention, hidden consciousness and spiritual transformation — while the outer cloth represents the outer world.

#### Tawantinsuyu – The Four Quarters

**The design reflects the four regions of the Inca Empire:**

- Chinchaysuyu (North)
- Antisuyu (East)
- Collasuyu (South)
- Cuntisuyu (West)

**Together, they form a unified sacred whole — mirroring balance between:**

- Inner and outer worlds
- Spiritual and physical realms
- Individual and community
- Earth (Pachamama) and Sun (Inti)

The four chambers are often associated with soul retrieval, divination work and energetic organisation, representing the gathering and reintegration of fragmented aspects of the self.

**Bright woven bands along two edges provide directional orientation during ceremony.**
