The fluttering prayer flag (Lungta) are actually colourful cotton cloth squares. They are mantras and prayers on which are connected together along the top edges.
Lungta (Tib: Lung = Wind, ta = Horse) A mythical Tibetan creature from pre Buddist times combine the speed of the wind and the strength of a horse to carry prayers from the earth to the heavens! The word Lungta for a tibetan itself means fortune or good luck.
Tibetans believe that the prayers and mantras will be blown upwards as an offering to their deities and will bring fortune, happiness and good health to all who hang them as well as their families,loved ones and neighbours and all those throughout the world including enemies.
In the colours of white, red, blue, yellow & green. In Tibetan Buddhism, these prayer flags are indispensable. According traditions, the prayers printed on these flags will be spread by the wind and contribute to a positive environment.
Old Lungta usually are replaced on the Tibetan New Year!

Free Delivery on any applicable 'Orders' that are returned will incur the shipping fee to be paid and any collection cost.
