These beautiful matching carvings are lovingly referred to as Pachamama Female and Pachapapa (Pacha Tata) Grandfather/Father/male.

Pachamama is usually translated from the Quechua native South American language as Mother Earth but it can also mean physical body or matter permeated by the etheric and vital stress systems, which hold the world together.

Pachapapa is also a native word of South American Quechua, which literally means earth-potato. Husband of Pachamama, he is also known as Pachacamac, and represents the world universal masculine energy in time and space.

These khuyas have been sourced from a sacred known only to shamans in the North Western region of Peru.
