The lamp warms the salt minerals and removes the moisture from the salt firstly and then attracted it from the surrounding air, it then releases negative ions back. These benefits are under great debate. The Natural un-shaped lamps have a higher resilience to moisture than the softer carved versions. With regular use regular any moisture build up is removed.
