Sweet grass in Latin is translated to SACRED GRASS (Hierchloe Odorata). Sweet grass can vary to harvests that is generally done once a year in August. The one thing that does not vary is the plant type - Hierchloe Odorata. Our suppliers are Native Indians. We source directly with individual tribes, one of which has done this for at least 100 years.
Fragrance - There is a belief that sweet grass is fresh and sweet smelling. This is not always true. The age of the grass will differ and the smell will also from a more musky smell to fresh sweet.
NOTE: Please use a heat proof dish, and take precautions when lighting and smudging this sweet grass. keeping a bowl of water or sand on hand to distinguish it as required. (Never leave burning incense unattended). Relight as desired.
