History:
Alberto Villoldo was the youngest clinical professor at San Francisco State University. He was directing the Biological Self-Regulation Laboratory, investigating how energy medicine could change the chemistry of the brain. One day in his laboratory, Alberto realized that his research had to get bigger instead of smaller, that he was looking out of the wrong end of the microscope. He needed to find a system larger than the neural networks of the brain. Many others were already studying the hardware – Alberto wanted to learn to program the mind to create psychosomatic health.
Through all is travelling, knowledge, sitting in ceremony and learning with these wisdom keepers, Alberto discovered a set of technologies that transform the body, heal the soul, and can change the way we live and the way we die. These ancient teachings explain that a Luminous Energy Field (LEF) surrounds us and acts as a matrix or blueprint that maintains the health and vibrancy of the physical body.

The wisdom teachings for this path has been passed on from the shaman, the seers and sages known as the “Laika”. In the 1500's when conquistador Franscisco Pizzaro arrived in the new world he was able to bring down the Aztec and Inka empires with fewer than 400 men, equipped with guns, steel, horses…. And germs. The Laika fled to the mountains, where they kept the wisdom teaching safely hidden.
In 1950, a group of Laika from high in the Andes traveled to an annual gathering of shamans that occurred at the foot of one of the holy mountains. The local natives looked at the ponchos the Laika were wearing and instantly recognized the marking of the high shaman priests. They realized that this was group of medicine men and women thought to have vanished after the time of the conquest.
Their coming down from the high mountains they say, had been foretold in their prophecies. “We have been the keepers of a body of processes, or rites, that usher in who we are becoming as a people, as a planet. These processes are for the entire world, said Don Manuel one of the last Laika elders.
Inka Shamanism and Dr. Villoldo-
Dr. Alberto Villoldo studied with a number of the Laika elders to distill the essence of their healing practices of energy medicine. He trained with the jungle medicine people and traveled and collected stories and healing practices from the Nazca region to Lake Titcaca, the Sea on Top of the World, which legends say the Inka were born.
