Organic Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil 10ml

Eucalyptus globulus is an iconic species of Australia and Southeast Asia. Blue Gum, its common name, alludes to the bluish hue of the young leaves, which are covered by a waxy layer that protects them from water loss.

The fast-growing, handsome tree can reach a height of up to 60m. Its flowers appear as little tufts that seem to consist entirely of stamens. Rich in nectar and pollen, they offer an inviting feast for insects and bees.

Eucalyptus honey has a distinct muscatel flavour and valuable medicinal properties. Eucalyptus globulus is extensively grown for erosion control but is limited to frost-free areas that receive a fair amount of moisture during the winter.

The oil-rich leaves are coppiced and steam-distilled to yield the essential oil, a popular ingredient of cough medicines or soothing muscle balms. The fresh scent and antibacterial properties also make it a common ingredient for household cleaning products

Traditional Native Australians have long cherished Eucalyptus globulus as food and medicine. They use the leaves and oil to treat respiratory conditions such as coughs and colds, viral infections and headaches.

Applied externally, it relieves aching muscles and joints. The sap makes a fortifying tonic. The leaves are burnt as incense for cleansing and protection.

Magical The strong camphor-like scent of Sweet Gum essential oil dispels mental fogginess like a magic wipe. It can be used as a purifying room spray to prepare a space for ceremony or cleanse ritual tools and crystals.

Eucalyptus Blue Gum oil protects against negative energies and evil spells. The oil can support mental focus and clarity and help strengthen the energetic body.

Scent Eucalyptus Blue Gum essential oil has a potent, instantly recognisable, clean, camphorous, and energising scent. But beneath the zippy top notes lies a gentler, more nuanced aroma.

Eucalyptus globulus blends well with Rosemary, Lemon, Lavender, Pine, Thyme, Marjoram, Hyssop, Peppermint, Cinnamon, Myrtle, and Manuka.

Safety Guidelines: Oils are cultivated to be as pure and potent as possible. We strongly recommend you read individual label instructions and the following guidelines to ensure safe use of essential oils: The orifice located in the oil bottle opening helps you follow correct dosages. It also helps prevent small children from accidentally swallowing large amounts of essential oil. If you suspect that a child has consumed a large quantity of oil, give them milk and seek medical advice. Seek the advice of a health professional before topically applying any red-drop oils to children (see application chart).

When applying a new oil, test 1 drop on a small patch of skin first (e.g., on the underside of the forearm). Skin sensitivity is highly individual. If the skin feels hot or turns red, apply a vegetable oil (V-6™ or olive) to the area to dilute and follow dilution instructions on the bottle for future uses. Washing the area with water is less effective.
