What are incense burners or Censers used for?

Censers are essential tools in holistic practices, meditation, and shamanic rituals, used for offering incense during spiritual ceremonies. These ceramic bowls, designed for burning incense, create a sacred space by purifying the environment and enhancing focus during meditation or ritual work. They are perfect for practitioners who work with incense offerings to honour the elements or call upon spiritual guides.

These censers are crafted to hold small charcoal briquettes, ideal for burning resins, herbs, and incense. After lighting a corner of the charcoal briquette, it is placed in the censer, and once the sparks spread, the censer is ready to receive the incense. Filling the bowl with one-third sand helps retain heat, ensuring the briquette stays hot enough to burn the incense slowly. This method of burning incense allows for steady smoke, offering grounding and clearing energy.

These versatile censers can also be used as chalices in ritual practices, providing an additional layer of sacred symbolism in ceremonies and holistic work.
