The word dhoop is commonly used for dense Indian incense preparations made from aromatic plant materials such as flowers, herbs, woods, spices and resins. Recipes and forms vary between makers, but these are best described as traditional dhoop-style incense cones.

These cones are not suitable for backflow or waterfall burners because they do not contain the hollow channel required to direct smoke downwards.

“May this space feel calm, clear and open to peaceful reflection.”

Allow the fragrance to remain in the background while you meditate, pray or rest.

How to Use

Place the holder on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface away from curtains, paper, bedding and other flammable materials.

Set one cone upright and light the pointed tip using a match or lighter. Allow it to burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame.

The cone should continue to glow and release fragrant smoke.

Keep the room well ventilated throughout use.

To extinguish early, smother the glowing tip with sand or another suitable fireproof material. Check carefully that no ember remains.

Cone Incense vs Stick Incense

Cone incense usually releases fragrance more intensely over a shorter period, while stick incense tends to diffuse scent more gradually.

Backflow cones are made with a hollow channel that directs smoke downwards through a specialist waterfall burner. Super Hit Dhoop Cones do not contain this channel and will not create a cascading smoke effect.

Use them with the supplied holder or another suitable heat-resistant cone burner.
