  • Place on a heat resistant surface and ensure proper airflow around the base
  • Clean using a damp cloth only. Do not immerse in water or use cleaning products

  • Regular use is recommended to prevent moisture build up and crumbling. If left unused for long periods, moisture absorption may cause dusting, crumbling, or a blown fuse or bulb
  • To resolve moisture related issues, disconnect from power, wipe dry, replace the fuse and bulb, and use regularly
  • All lamps are checked before dispatch to ensure they are in working condition. Based in the Lake District, it has been observed that carved lamps are less resilient to moisture than rugged natural lamps when not used regularly

Salt Lamp Care Notes

Salt lamps are designed for indoor use only. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth every one to two weeks. They are intended for decorative use and should not be left on unattended for extended periods. Keep the lamp away from high-moisture areas such as basements, kitchens, or bathrooms.  

Since salt lamps absorb moisture from the air, regular use helps prevent excess buildup. If left unlit for long periods, they may start to crumble due to moisture retention. This is more likely to occur in areas with high humidity, such as near windows, conservatories, or bathrooms. Frequent use helps maintain the lamp’s condition by continuously drying out any absorbed moisture.
