Andean Male Jihuaylla Meteorite Khuya 4–5cm – Shamanic Altar & Mesa River Stone
Known to the Q’ero people of Peru as a Khuya, this Male Jihuaylla Stone is a sacred Andean power stone traditionally associated with strength, protection, direction, and active transformation.
Dark in colour, dense, and naturally river-polished, these stones are gathered from a remote waterway in North-West Peru, a site known only to Q’ero-lineage shamans and keepers. Their black coloration and weighty, iron-rich feel have led many practitioners to describe them as meteorite-like, sensing an assertive, grounding presence that supports decisive action and energetic defence.
In Andean cosmology, male khuyas work alongside female stones to create balanced polarity, offering outward-facing strength, stability, and protection.

They are often used in mesa work, protective rites, and travel, where grounding and energetic clarity are essential. Placed on an altar or carried in the pouch, the male Jihuaylla Khuya is said to hold the line, anchoring intention and guarding the energetic space.
The river origin of these stones is central to their role—water is believed to shape not only the stone’s surface, but its memory and strength, refining raw power into focused stability.
