Chinchero Shaman Mestana Mesa Cloth - Sacred Andean Textile
A newly woven design for 2025, this special Mestana has been named “The New Dawn” — a cloth symbolising balance, renewal, and the meeting of feminine and masculine energies. Its warm, earthy tones hold both grounding depth and gentle luminosity, giving it a presence that feels ancient yet emerging.
Created by shaman for shaman, this design carries the spirit and symbolism of traditional Andean weaving, yet it is not a Q’ero lineage cloth. Still, it holds a similar energetic language and ceremonial suitability.
Fresh off the hand loom and never used in ceremony, it is beautifully finished, soft to the touch, and woven with fine alpaca yarn for a smoother, more refined feel.
A mesa or mestana is a sacred cloth used in prayers, blessings, and healing rituals to hold power objects and medicine stones. Mesa refers to the plains, while mestana reflects the high plains of the Andes — where sky, earth, and spirit meet.
