The Green Tara Postcard is a portable image of compassion and divine protection. Green Tara, one of the most widely venerated figures in Tibetan Buddhism, is known as the embodiment of swift and active compassion. She is often invoked to overcome fears and clear away obstacles, offering guidance and courage to those on the spiritual path.

Her traditional imagery shows her seated on a lotus throne, with one leg folded in meditation and the other extended, ready to step into the world to help. In one hand she holds a lotus flower, symbolising purity and liberation, while her gestures (mudras) convey refuge, protection, and generosity.
