About Triple Moon:

Symbolism

The Triple Moon represents the Maiden, Mother, and Crone — the sacred cycle of life, intuition, and transformation. The cauldron symbolises rebirth, intention, and manifestation. Together they form a powerful emblem for ritual and spiritual work.

Whether used daily or reserved for special ceremonies, this piece serves as both décor and devotional tool.

How to Use (Recommended with Sand Lining)

For heat protection and stability, it is strongly recommended to line the base with sand before use.
Sand sold separately.

For Incense Cones

  1. Fill the base of the cauldron with a layer of sand.
  2. Place the incense cone directly into the sand.
  3. Light the cone and allow it to begin smouldering.
  4. Replace the lid and allow the smoke to rise through the openings.

The sand helps absorb heat and prevents residue from damaging the ceramic.

For Incense Sticks

  1. Remove the perforated lid.
  2. Fill the cauldron partway with sand.
  3. Insert the incense stick securely into the sand so it stands upright.
  4. Ensure enough sand is used to properly support the thickness of the stick.

The sand stabilises the stick and catches falling ash.

For Resin Incense & Charcoal Discs

This cauldron may also be used for traditional resin incense.

  1. Fill the base with a generous layer of sand.
  2. Place a lit charcoal incense disc on top of the sand (never directly on the ceramic).
  3. Once the charcoal turns grey and ashed over, sprinkle a small amount of resin, gum, or incense blend onto the disc.
  4. Add resins gradually to create your desired fragrance and smoke intensity.

The sand acts as insulation, protecting the ceramic base from the high heat generated by charcoal discs.

Care & Safety Advice

  • Always use on a heat-resistant surface
  • Never place charcoal directly onto ceramic without sand
  • Burn incense in a well-ventilated area
  • Never leave burning incense unattended
  • Keep away from children and pets
  • Allow the burner to cool fully before handling
  • Replace sand periodically to maintain cleanliness

FAQs

Is sand required?
While not technically mandatory, sand is strongly recommended. It protects the ceramic from heat stress, especially when using charcoal discs.

Can I use charcoal discs safely in this burner?
Yes — provided you place the charcoal on a thick layer of sand. Never place charcoal directly onto the ceramic.

How much sand should I use?
Use enough to create a protective layer between the heat source and the ceramic base. For charcoal discs, a deeper layer is recommended.

Does it catch ash?
Yes, especially when sand is used. Sand also absorbs resin residue and heat deposits.

Can it be used without the lid?
Yes. The lid is ideal for cones, but for sticks or charcoal, it may be removed as needed.
