The Samadhi Singing Bowl takes its name from the Sanskrit word “Samadhi,” meaning a state of deep meditative absorption and inner union.
True to its name, this hand-hammered Tibetan bowl is crafted to support profound stillness and presence — its sound guiding the listener into balance between vibration and silence.

The Samadhi Style Bowl features a wide, flared form and a thin rim, producing a long, expansive tone rich with overtones.
Each bowl is individually hand-forged in Tibet from a traditional mix of sacred metals, then finely finished to achieve both precision and resonance.

This is a medium-large bowl that carries a deep, grounding note with remarkable sustain — ideal for Buddhist meditation, sound therapy, and mindfulness practice.
Every Samadhi bowl is unique, its tone shaped by the hand that created it and the spirit that listens.

Each Samadhi Tibetan Buddhist Singing Bowl is a work of devotion, shaped by artisans who use the centuries-old hand-hammering method.
The process begins with melting copper, tin, and trace noble metals — a blend symbolising the balance of universal elements.

Molten metal is poured and cut into discs, which are reheated and beaten while red-hot.
Four to five discs are layered and hammered rhythmically until the bowl’s flared form emerges — each strike imparting subtle differences that make every Samadhi bowl unique.

This repeated heat-and-hammer cycle allows the metal to retain its strength and tonal clarity.
Once the form is perfected, the surface is hand-chiselled and polished inside and out, producing the bowl’s soft gleam and resonant voice.

The Samadhi Style Bowl is celebrated for its long, layered sustain and harmonic depth, with tones that open the heart and calm the mind.
Its name reflects its purpose — to invite a meditative stillness that transcends thought.

How to Play a Singing Bowl

  1. Hold the Bowl: Place it on your open palm, allowing free vibration.
  2. Strike the Rim: Gently tap the edge with the striker to release its tone.
  3. Circle the Rim: Move the striker smoothly around the rim for a continuous hum.
  4. Adjust Pressure: Experiment with touch and speed to reveal overtones.
  5. Listen Deeply: Let the sound guide your attention inward — from awareness to stillness.

Each bowl responds differently, reflecting the player’s rhythm, breath, and presence.

About the Striker (Beater)

The included wooden striker is designed to draw out both the initial note and the continuous vibration of the bowl.
Use the plain wood end for brightness, or the padded side (if applicable) for warmth.
For larger bowls like the Samadhi, a heavier felt mallet can deepen the resonance and sustain lower harmonics.

Sacred Essence

At Sacred Essence, we believe sound is a pathway to stillness.
The Samadhi Tibetan Buddhist Singing Bowl embodies that principle — hand-forged to create tones that mirror the meditative state it’s named after.

When played, its voice expands gently, carrying presence into the silence that follows.
More than an instrument, it is a teacher — a bridge between vibration and peace.

Sacred Essence — where sound becomes stillness.
