Our curated textile collection includes exquisite handmade pieces from Qero Paqo Shamans of Peru, alongside a select few Tibetan altar cloths and Sacred Essence exclusives. These sacred and ritual textiles carry ancestral lineage through ceremony, ritual, and healing. Each is woven with intention, prayers, and ancient symbolism, hand-crafted for use in mesa building, despacho offerings, altar work, and personal transformation. This department is deeply rooted in South American shamanic traditions, particularly the Q'ero lineage of the Andes.
Explore Sacred Peruvian Textiles – Threads of Living Spirit & Sacred Ceremony
These woven expressions of spiritual wisdom include mesa cloths, inner despacho cloths, ceremonial ponchos, and medicine pouches. Crafted with traditional tools and natural dyes, each item is a living piece of cultural storytelling, embodying the sacred values of Ayni (reciprocity), Pachamama (Earth Mother), and lineage remembrance. Used widely by Four Winds practitioners, mesa carriers, and energy medicine students.
Working Together in Ceremony
Sacred textiles often work in harmony with one another to create a complete ceremonial set. A mesa cloth acts as the outer wrapping, visible to others, representing the external world. Inside, the Unkuna or inner cloth protects and holds the inner spiritual world. A mesa tie or Watana secures these layers together, uniting both worlds. Larger Manta cloths act as the altar itself, a base for sacred items, a seat for meditation, or a space for offerings. Ponchos provide personal protection and are worn in rituals, fire ceremonies, and initiations, completing the circle of ceremonial tools.
What kinds of sacred and ritual textiles are available in this department?
The majority are woven by Q'ero Paqos of Peru, master weavers, healers and keepers of Incan lineage. Their textiles are imbued with energy for healing, balance, and sacred connection. A small number of Tibetan altar cloths also feature in the collection. Each item supports artisan families, fair trade principles, and the continuation of sacred weaving traditions.
How are they used in spiritual practice?
Wrapping & protecting mesa (medicine) bundles
As altar cloths or ceremonial foundations
For despacho offerings, fire ceremonies & initiations
Enhancing meditation, energy work & sound healing spaces
