Qero Paqo Beautiful Andean Handmade Textile – Two-Panel Suyu Cloth – Black & White/Ivory with Rainbow Edging
Two Suyu • Duality & Sacred Union • Mesa Inner Cloth
This Qero Paqo Two-Panel Suyu Cloth is a beautifully handwoven Andean textile embodying duality, balance and sacred union.
“Suyu” refers to a region or quarter in Andean cosmology. This two-panel design symbolises two complementary forces— light and dark, masculine and feminine, inner and outer — woven together in harmony.
Crafted in the Peruvian High Andes, this textile may serve as a sacred inner cloth for a personal mesa, a divination cloth, or a standalone altar piece. Its bold contrast of black and white/ivory, framed by vibrant rainbow edging, reflects balance within polarity and unity within difference.

Two Suyu – Duality & Sacred Union
The two-panel structure carries layered symbolic meaning:
- Masculine and Feminine union
- Light and Dark integration
- Earth and Sky
- Visible and Invisible worlds
- Creative polarity and generative balance
Rather than opposing forces, the two panels represent complementary energies working in reciprocity (Ayni). Together they form a unified whole — an energetic field of equilibrium and harmony.
Rainbow (Kuichi) Symbolism
The brightly coloured edging represents the Kuichi (Rainbow) in Quechua tradition.
In Andean cosmology, the rainbow symbolises:
- A bridge between worlds
- Transformation and renewal
- Divine communication
- Alignment between spiritual and earthly realms
The rainbow border acts as a protective and integrative band, uniting the dual panels into a cohesive energetic container.
