Shamanic Two-Panel Suyu Unkuna Inner Cloth (WSU-10) – Mesa Inner Cloth

Two Suyu • Sacred Union • Rainbow-Edged Mesa Inner Cloth

This Shamanic Two-Panel Suyu Unkuna Inner Cloth (WSU-10) is a beautifully handwoven Andean textile embodying sacred duality, balance and harmonious integration.

Woven in the Peruvian High Andes, this Two-Panel Suyu cloth represents complementary forces brought into unity — masculine and feminine, light and shadow, inner and outer. The design integrates sacred geometry, making it especially suited for divination, altar work and personal mesa practice.

Two Suyu – Duality & Creative Balance

The two-panel structure symbolises:

  • Masculine and feminine union
  • Light and dark integration
  • Relationship and creative polarity
  • Balance within sacred partnership
  • Complementary forces working in Ayni (reciprocity)

Rather than opposing energies, the two panels represent harmony born from relationship — the weaving together of contrast into a cohesive whole.

Rainbow (Kuichi) & Protective Eye Symbolism

The vibrant edging represents the Kuichi (Rainbow) in Quechua tradition.

In Andean cosmology, the rainbow symbolises:

  • A bridge between worlds
  • Transformation and renewal
  • Spiritual communication
  • Balance between earthly and celestial realms

Protective eye motifs woven along the edging symbolise watchfulness and spiritual safeguarding, creating a contained and protected ceremonial space.

An Unkuña (also called Wachala or Inner Cloth) is a sacred textile used in rituals and ceremonies for:

When placed inside a larger mesa cloth, it represents the inner world of the practitioner — while the outer cloth represents engagement with the outer world.

Some cloths may show signs of prior ceremonial use, which in Andean tradition adds depth and lived spiritual integrity. For pristine-condition cloths, specific Wachala archetypes may be preferred.

Each piece is unique, carrying subtle variations in tone, weave and symbolic alignment.
